Enterprise Rent-A-Car Corporate Environmental Initiative

May Day Pledge
  

As part of our efforts to lessen our impact on the environment, we have signed up to the Prince’s May Day Network through a series of pledges. The pledges put us at the centre of one of the nation’s leading organisations involved with inspiring businesses to make and deliver on environmental commitments.
 
The Prince’s May Day Network is the UK’s largest group of businesses committed to taking action on climate change. Run by Business in the Community and supported by HRH the Prince of Wales, the Network encourages firm environmental commitments from businesses and lends practical support to instigate various eco-friendly initiatives and practices.
 
We are the first vehicle rental company to sign up with the Network. The pledges we’ve made are to:

• Measure and report Enterprise Rent-A-Car’s business
  carbon emissions

• Take practical action to reduce the CO2 emissions of Enterprise Rent-A-Car

• Encourage Enterprise Rent-A-Car employees to reduce their own CO2 emissions

• Work with Enterprise Rent-A-Car suppliers to achieve reductions in their own CO2 emissions

Through making these pledges, we’re able to set out a clear mission – one that is underpinned by our wider environmental platform. By playing an active role in the Network, we will be able to make a significant contribution towards reducing the UK’s carbon emissions.
