Enterprise Pick-Up
This service is offered to Enterprise customers, totally free of charge, as an alternative to delivery & collection (D&C). At the beginning of the rental, an Enterprise employee drives to the customer’s location, picks them up and takes them back to the branch. There, they are shown around the vehicle being hired and fills out the paperwork before driving away.
At the end of the rental, the customer returns the car to the branch and is then driven by an Enterprise employee back to a location of their choice. This service not only reduces costs, it also cuts the emissions by a third from a rental where D&C is employed. To illustrate:
Scenario 1 – Delivery & collection: Two cars are driven from the branch to the customer’s location. One is dropped off and then the two drivers return in the other. At the end of the rental, two drivers return to the customer’s location in one car, collect the rental vehicle and then drive both back to the branch.
Scenario 2 – Pick-Up: One car is driven to the customer, who is picked up and driven back to the branch to collect the vehicle. At the end of the rental, the car is brought to the branch; our employee drops the customer off at her chosen location and then returns to the branch. Pick-Up is free, so it reduces costs as well as emissions!
